Warm sunshine, chirping birds, and longer days are all hallmarks of spring in the Pacific Northwest. One of my favorite parts of spring is taking a trip to the University of Washington to see the cherry blossoms.
Performing regular maintenance on your vehicle is important both for safety and vehicle longevity. Find your local ACDelco professional service center and stop in to get your battery, brakes and wipers checked for winter driving.
I think everyone in the family was feeling a little cabin fever after staying indoors so much during the holidays. My son was anxious to try out his new sled and the Snoqualmie Pass area is just a few miles away, so we packed up the car and went to play in the snow.
I had an opportunity to test drive the 2015 Toyota Highlander Hybrid which has room for eight, a stylish design, and a gasoline/electric hybrid engine system. I’ve read a lot about hybrid vehicles and have been considering buying one, so I jumped at the chance to see how the Highlander performed.
I test drove the 2016 Hyundai Tuscon, a stylish new model of Hyundai’s popular compact crossover. This compact size is perfect for fuel economy and for getting around in an urban setting.
Buick has come a long way with the new design of its vehicles, so the “take another look” campaign is well deserved. My family had a Buick when I was a kid and the Enclave is an enormous step up from that family sedan. It felt great to drive the Enclave to work every day and I didn’t mind the traffic as much. The luxury interior and modern styling make the Enclave a wonderful choice for a family that wants a refined way to travel.
“Let’s take the new car, Daddy.” That’s what I heard from my son each time that we needed to go somewhere. I was test driving a 2015 Toyota Sienna and my son was convinced that it was the greatest vehicle ever designed.
For most parents, sipping a glass of wine in the evening is the only respite the get in the day. With Walla Walla just a short drive from Seattle, it is easy to change that. Wouldn’t you rather relax with a glass in hand while looking out on a vineyard?
You’re getting a tux for the auto show? Why?!?! That was the reaction most of my friends had when I told them that I needed to get a tux for a special event at the Chicago Auto Show. The First Look for Charity is an annual event that routinely raises more than $2 million for 18 Chicago area charities. I was lucky enough to be invited to the event, so I put on my finest rented tux and pretended to be James Bond walking among all those high-end cars.
As a first time visitor, I was blown away by the size of the Chicago Auto Show. It spans more than 1 million square feet of floor space and has hundreds of different vehicles on display: domestic and imported passenger cars, trucks, sport-utility vehicles, minivans and concept cars.
