When you get my son and his friend in the same room, everything suddenly becomes a competition. Who got the highest video game score? Who can run the fastest or jump the highest? Who found the biggest rock? It really doesn’t matter what it is, as long as there is a competition.
The latest battle for bragging rights has taken place in our living room, as the boys raced R/C cars around in a death match – all part of the new SpinForce R/C toy. To play, the boys race remote control cars around the circular dome as they battle to knock one another out of the ring. It is fast paced. It is fun. And most importantly, the boys love it.
The set included two wireless remotes, two race cars, the battle arena, two spare tires, a screwdriver and some stickers.
The dome was easy enough to assemble. The pieces of the simply connected together with tabs to form a dome about 25” wide. The most difficult part was remembering to alternate between the black and yellow pieces. While I worked on the dome, the boys had fun using the decals to decorate the R/C vehicles. All in all, it took about ten minutes to set everything up.
It took a few minutes of practice to learn how to drive the cars around the dome. The vehicles have smaller wheels on one side, which helps keep them stay within the dome. There is still a learning curve as you figure out how to throttle the speed and adjust the steering to not only keep the car in the dome, but to also knock out your opponent. The boys had it figured out in a few minutes and then the tournament began.
SpinForce was a lot of fun and the boys played with it for most of the weekend. They even let me try a few battles and I have to admit it was fun for dads as well. It is a unique game that proved to be entertaining for everyone who played with it.
If you live in a household that loves to battle it out for bragging rights, SpinForce R/C is the perfect toy for you. It retails for $39.99 and can be found on Amazon.
